Scenic Flights on Naples magnificent Long Lake have been a summertime tradition for over 85 years. The flights began in 1927 from the same Naples Seaplane port that you will board for your family flight. The docks, decks and gazebo are brand new this year, as part of the project that brought our graceful new modern bridge which replaces the historic, but archaic swing bridge.
In 1949, lifetime Naples Resident Jim Builds returned from the Army in Korea, and took over the scenic flight business himself. Later, with is wife Mary, he operated the Naples Seaplane Service for most of the last half of the last century.
Today, keeping with the tradition of local ownership, longtime Naples resident Dan Lajoie is the proud owner operator of the Naples Air Flying Service.
Our Chief Pilot, Clint Goodhue, has been flying since his Dad took him up when he was 6 years old. He has over 3,000 hours flying Cessna 180 floatplanes like ours. His skill, experience, safety record and relaxed approach with his passengers, have made him a popular flying attraction in Naples for many years.
